A:

  • With FMC640 two external devices can be connected with RS232 to the device.

  • With FMC125 one RS232 or one RS485. Only one device can be used with FMC125

A: No, IoT devices don’t need 5G network because they don’t use much data, rather, they are evolving towards Cat-M1 network (FMM devices)

Q: Do the device (FMC003 or FMC00A, etc.) provide bi-directional, half or full duplex communication with the vehicle On Board Diagnostic System (OBD-2)?

A: The device uses bidirectional transmission in the sense that you can read and clear DTC codes, read the vehicle's VIN (if such information is available through the OBD interface), and check interface parameters. The commands used for this are listed on Wiki:

Q: Does the SAE J1939 included in the OBD protocol?

A: OBD devices are dedicated for light vehicles, SAE J1939 is standard used in trucks to read FMS data, it is not OBD protocol

A: no only DTC codes with cleardtc

Q: how to return the device to normal operation and get the output to trigger for GNSS jamming?

A: you have to do the following:

you have to remove output 1 from GNSS jamming and set it for immobilizer, then we have to trigger output 1 by the immobilizer. After this we have to remove output 1 for immobilizer and set it back for GNSS jamming.Â
