RYLR993: 868/915MHz LoRaWAN™ Transceiver Module

LoRa proprietary uses the technology of LoRa with private protocol (peer-to-peer), but LoRaWAN uses the technology of LoRa with a protocol that follows LoRa Alliance®.

It means RYLR998 can only communicate with RYLR998, but RYLR993 can communicate with all the LoRaWAN Gateways in the market
