It is a solution for fleet management tracker in following cases:

  1. Driver authorization – gives ability to use vehicle only for specific iButton owners and identify which driver is on the road.

  2. Immobilizer – without iButton authorization you can not run engine starter and and use vehicle.

  3. Auto Geofencing – gives ability to know when car leaves customized areas without iButton authorization.

FAQ:

Q: Does the user get a confirmation that the ID was read by the iButton?

A: You should connect the buzzer or LED lamp to DOUT1 or DOUT2 and activate it in the configuration

Q: In which status may/must the box be online, sleep mode?

A: In Deep Sleep and Online Deep Sleep modes, the device does not support 1-wire. In Sleep mode, it will work properly.

Q: Can we use I button for driver identification?

A: Yes, You can use the Ibutton in combination with the buzzer (in this case, You need to use Immobilizer scenario)

  1. Set ignition source to DIN1.

  2. Connect buzzer to DOUT interface (DOUT1 for example).

  3. Input authorised iButton IDs in a configurator.
