2020 is an eventful year in radio technology. Old technology will be replaced by new technology.

Networks twist:
3G at Deutsche Telekom, switch off on June 2021
3G at Vodafone in Deutschland, switch off on end of June 2021:
2G at T-Mobile in Netherlands, switch off on end of June 2021
3G in Norway, switch off on end December 2025
2G in Switzerland, switch off on end December 2020

Note:

  • Soon, pure GSM devices will no longer function in various European networks operator.

  • LTE-M is the new radio technology. LTE-M is an advanced version of NB-IoT.
