Teltonika Global SIM for IoT/M2M by Teltonika

500 MB within 5 years by Teltonika

The SIM comes pre-activated with 500 Mbyte of IoT (Internet Of Things) / M2M (machine to machine) data connectivity to be consumed within 5 years, renewable at the same conditions.

The SIM comes ready to use.

What's included?

Technical features

  • Minimum billed data packet: 1 kbyte (for both Data directions). However, device has a private IP address so that kind of malicious attack is not possible. If the server misbehaves, you can create rules to control the usage of each SIM.
  • Session set-up: free
  • Idle session time out: 7 days
  • Plan optimised for Teltonika FM vehicle tracking devices.
  • Verified, validated and approved by Teltonika on Teltonika FM devices.
  • Compatible with every cellular device, software platform and network topology.

The vast majority of professional Teltonika customers consumes between 3 to 6 megabyte/month (i.e. 180 to 360 MB in 5 years) per correctly configured Teltonika FM device.

Identyty check

Mirifica shall verify identity of SIM customers:

  • enterprises: billing and shipping details shall match business registration data;
  • consumers: identity card, billing and shipping details shall be consistent with a current bank statement or utility bill.

Q: Which devices work with the Teltonika  Global SIMs?

A:All standard cellular devices with PTCRB and GCF certifications should work with the Teltonika Global SIM. However, there are devices that may require specific configuration or module firmware. Please contact our customer services team if you have any difficulties.

Teltonika certifies devices and cellular modules on an ongoing basis.

Q: What means  Idle session time out: 7 days?

A:Idle session timeout means that the data session will end after some time of inactivity. If the session timeouts, the device should start a new one when needed.

Q:How long a device must not send data via GPRS before sessions end with Teltonika side?
A:
If there is no usage, the timeout is triggered after 60 minutes.

Q: How to check your number?

A:Just check what is the MSISDN for your ICCID

Q: Is it possible to transfer a Global SIM from Teltonika Telematics to Teltonika Mobility or the other way around?

A:No, it is not possible, you should have one IOT sim account for each department.

Q: What is the minimum SIM to have his own subaccount?

A: the minimum is 10 sim cards

Q: How to send SMS via the SIM platform?

A: Go to SIM list → Head into the SIM list menu, by selecting the option from the left menu bar→  Select target SIMs (select the SIMs that will be receiving the SMS by checking the checkbox )→ Select bulk action "Send SMS"

Q: How to verify the consumption?

A: You can verify the average daily consumption and on this basis estimate in what period you will use 500 MB.

Q: what is the real meaning of 500 MB for 5 years

A: you have a data package of 500 MB to use within 5 years

*if you use 500 MB earlier, you can top up another 500 MB

*If you do not use the package after 5 years, it will be forfeited

Q: How do top up and how does it work?

A: 

  • First, you need to send us the ICCID and contact us via our store mailbox "store (at) mirifica (dot) de" if you have a Teltonika SIM account, let us know.
  • you receive the top-ups to your account, you can either, Manually top-up the desired SIM cards instantly, or you can also set up a command to top them up when They reach a certain amount of MB left for example at 490MB, Or you could set an Auto top-up command for the desired cards to be automatically top-upped when they run out of MB, you would just need to make sure you have enough top-ups ready when this time comes.
