Dashcams are unproblematic in the following countries: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Denmark, Finland, France (if the recording is to be used as evidence, other parties involved in the accident must be informed about the recordings immediately after the accident), Great Britain, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Norway (only for private use, driver must not be distracted by this), Poland, Sweden (the camera must be easily removable, and the recordings must be overwritten regularly), Serbia, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary (camera should only have a low resolution, unneeded data should be deleted after five days and protected against access by unauthorized third parties).
Dashcams should not be used in Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.
You should only use them in Austria with permission.
