For the follow-up of people and animals, the challenge for a tracker has always been the battery saving. To this end, the TMT250 offers an operating mode capable of helping to save battery power: The low power mode.

The low-power mode can be used instead of the performance mode. It can be configured in System -> Tracking Mode -> Power Save Mode -> Low Power Mode.

When low power mode is enabled, all sleep modes are desactivated and cannot be enabled.
Low power mode works like online deep sleep mode. Below, you will find some power consumption statistics when the device is not searching for coordinates and not sending any data:

  1. When low power mode is enabled and the device is moving, the consumption is approximately 7,2 mA.

  2. When low power mode is enabled and the device is not moving, the consumption is similar to online deep sleep consumption - approximately 4,2 mA.

Basically, it is a battery saving mode, where GNSS module is woken up only when it is time to acquire position. Min data acquisition period has to be >=60 seconds when this mode is selected.

For data sending intervals, go to Data Acquisition tab in configurator and set both On stop and Moving send periods: Example to 5 minutes (300 seconds). Min distance, angle and speed delta should be set to 0 (Recommended).
