For the follow-up of people and animals, the challenge for a tracker has always been the battery saving. To this end, the TMT250 offers an two operating mode capable of helping to save battery power: The : the performance mode and the low power mode.

The low-performance mode: when it is active, GNSS module is constantly awake for a maximum track quality(excluding when Handheld device is in sleep mode).

The low power mode can be used instead of the performance mode. It can be configured in System -> Tracking Mode -> Power Save Mode -> Low Power Mode.

When low power mode is enabled, all sleep modes are desactivated and cannot be enabled.
Low power mode works like online deep sleep mode. Below, you will find some power consumption statistics when the device is not searching for coordinates and not sending any data:

...

For data sending intervals, go to Data Acquisition tab in configurator and set both On stop and Moving send periods: Example to 5 minutes (300 seconds). Min distance, angle and speed delta should be set to 0 (Recommended).

The different levels of energy consumed by the TMT250 in the different modes of use are:

GPRS: average 96 mA
Nominal: average 44.20 mA
GNSS Sleep: average 8 mA
Deep Sleep: average 3.43 mA
Online Deep Sleep: average 4 mA
Ultra Deep Sleep: average 1.50 mA
Low power mode, device moving but not looking for GPS fix: 7mA
Low power mode, device not moving: 4.2 mA
