Note: Please note that Codec 8 Extended must be enabled to receive these parameters.
How it functions:
The device will start reading OEM parameters after connecting with the Fota web server while the ignition is ON. When connecting to Fota device it will download the correct OBD configuration according to the VIN of the vehicle, so the VIN number should be visible for FMB003. Please check if the device could read the VIN number with obdinfo command.
...
When OBD is selected as the calculation source, the device will count the distance based on the MIL On distance traveled or the distance from code clearing, if it is available.
Step by step to enable OEM parameter
Enable OBD feature in device configuration (OBD II->General OBD settings->OBD Featue->Enable)
Enable parameters OEM Total mileage and OEM Fuel Level by setting their priorities to Low (as presented on attached page screen)
Enable codec 8 Extended (System->Data protocol->Codec 8 Extended)
Save configuration to device
Put FMB003 into OBDII slot
Start vehicle engine
Send obdinfo command to device, note that if there is sms login and password set command structure is: "sms_login sms_password obdinfo", if there is no sms login and password set, leave two spaces at the beginning of message: " obdinfo"
If there is vehicle VIN number in device response, go to point 5. If there is no VIN number in device response, open your device in the configurator and set VIN number manually (OBDII->OBD VIN Settings->VIN Source->Manual->put VIN number), save configuration
While device is in OBDII and engine running send web_connect command to device (" web_connect" or "sms_login sms_pass web_connect") to force connection with fota server, you schould receive response "web_connect resp:OK"
If vehicle is supported device will download proper OBD configuration from server and OEM parameters will be avaible. If device is connected to PC and configurator while it is placed in OBDII slot and engine running you schould see those parameters values directly in configurator. You can alsco check them with readio command: https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMB_readio ("sms_login sms_password readio 389" or " readio 389" and "sms_login sms_password readio 390" or " readio 390")
